Oh! Christmas Tree
In the past couple of years, I've started becoming a fan of Christmas. I've come to enjoy the memories I've made with Kenny and the kids while preparing for the big day. I'm especially fond of decorating the Christmas tree. This year's tree has been a special treat since Kenny's mom, Kim, gave us their old pre-lit tree. It's so much fuller and realistic than the $15 thrift store special that I've been using since the time when Charisma still thought Blue's Clues was pretty awesome.
Decorating the tree got me inspired. So, in honor of Day 3 of my Instagram challenge, Oh! Christmas Tree, I decided to play around with a recipe for Lemon Rosemary Wafers that I found in Simply Sensational Cookies by Nancy Baggett. I love how the rosemary adds a pine/tea-like flavor to the cookies.
** The original recipe directions were very involved. I simplified them as much as possible because, let's be real, when you're baking reading through all those instructions once, then trying to either remember them as you go or stop at each step to read the next steps is super tedious and well.... "Ain't nobody got time for that."
